There was nothing more thrilling than singing along with Sheryl Crow’s “Leaving Las Vegas” while we were driving out of the city limits heading for California this past weekend. This was our first trip out of the city as a family in a year all to see one of the greatest pitchers in history.
Although Roger Clemens and the Astros lost the game, we had a blast. Laura, who’s last ballgame was at Minute Maid Park in Houston, asked where the roof was! Here’s a picture of the two of us –
After the game we drove to the Santa Monica pier. Andy and I have now driven across the country on I-10 from Santa Monica, CA, to Jacksonville, FL. The girls wanted to go swimming despite the dropping temperatures as the sun set. We took them on the ferris wheel instead. They loved looking at the water from the pier.
And finally, look at these beautiful blue eyes and dimples!
